Should We Have Daylight Savings?

Yes, daylight saving time ends Sunday, Nov. 1 in Illinois

Ugh, I am exhausted. Why am I feeling this tired?  Oh wait! I just

remembered that I only got nine hours of sleep instead of ten because

of daylight savings!

When we get that extra hour of sunlight, we can do more things outside.

Some stuff you can do outside is see your friends, have a barbecue, go on a

trampoline, swim in your pool, etc. That extra hour of sunlight can also make

a difference because more time outside is less likely to cause depression,

stress, and it improves your memory.

This also helps with your health because sunshine gives your body

vitamin D which helps your bones and makes your mood better. You’d  live a

happier life if you were in a good mood and felt good physically. Daylight

savings also saves electricity in some parts of the world because you don’t

need to use lights in your house when it’s already sunny outside. Most of

the time, when people have lights on that use electricity, they use them

at night because they wouldn’t be able to see. With daylight savings, most

of us are already asleep or just relaxing when it gets dark.

There are also some things I dislike about daylight savings. Our sleep schedule is all over the place for the first few days of daylight savings. It can cause sleep deprivation or make it worse for the people who already have it. Daylight savings also has a bad impact on the environment. Why, you may ask? It’s because we would use more gas to drive since it’s still daytime and gas isn’t good for our environment. It could kill animals.

Around daylight savings, there are also more car accidents. One thing I think causes car accidents is that when everyone drives in the morning to go to school or to go to work, it would be more dark than before. This would make it harder to see. Also, when the sun starts to rise when people are driving, that can make it even harder to see.

Daylight savings has its ups and downs, but I’d say in my opinion that there are more positives to daylight savings than negatives. I hope you learned something from this! Comment down below if you think daylight savings is helpful or not.

Ways Dancers Can Get Injured And How To Prevent It

Ballerina Ballet Dancer Art Black Swan Lake Tutu Art Print by laurarowstudio | Society6     The music is playing and we’re doing great! As I go to do my ariel, crack! I feel my bone adjust and it doesn’t feel good. Multiple things can cause injuries like for example landing the wrong way in a leap or falling out of your turns, but there’s multiple ways to prevent injuries.

A way to get injured is if you don’t have much experience. People can push themselves too soon because they see people who have done dance for a while and you want to have the flexibility, strength, etc. It’s better to take exercising and stretching one step at a time.

Poor posture/fitness can also cause injuries. You get the fitness you need at dance but it depends on if you’re really putting in the effort in or if you cheat. It also doesn’t help when you slouch. If you concentrate on those things for a while, you’re less likely to get an injury.

Lastly, overtraining can cause a lot of injuries. Your muscles could be tired but you continue to push yourself too much. If they feel like they have a little ache or pain, it’s better to see a doctor before it might get worse.

There are many ways to get injured in dance but there’s many ways to fix it. It’s important to make the right choice!

Dance Tips to Success

Dancers - different dance styles - Magical Art World - Paintings & Prints, People & Figures, Dance - ArtPal

Do you want to start a new sport but do some research first? Look no further! I’ve already done the research for you. All you need to do is read.

Dance is mainly moving your body with a rhythm and expressing a feeling. It is also a sequence of steps. You’d want to move your body with the music so it makes sense. Whatever the mood of the music is, is the mood of your movement.

The first suggestion is to learn the right rhythm that fits your style. For example, if you like being energetic and you feel that’s how your body moves best, I suggest hip hop or jazz. If you’re technical, I suggesb
allet.

After you pick the styles you want to do, you want to get used to moving your arms and legs so it looks natural. You’d want to move your arms and legs with the emotion that is put in the dance and you want to be able to tell a story.

Depending on your style of dance, it helps to stretch so it’s easier to do tricks involving flexibility. Doing splits can help. You can even do them while you watch tv if you want.

Another thing to do is to watch other dancers to have a reference. They know what they are doing so it’s easier to pick up on things.

Having good posture is important. It helps to sit up in life outside of dance and when you have better posture, it's less likely that you'll fall.

Lastly, you want to have self confidence, patience, and be comfortable with what your doing. Dancing in your room alone can help with your confidence.

      I  hope this was helpful!
